Yes – it was a real sweet deal. The time commitment isn’t bad when you consider we’re probably saving thousands of dollars a year on stuff we’d buy anyways (clothes, shoes, kids toys, etc.) We’re even starting to make money from them by flipping stuff. I’ve got an upcoming article about it were I make 300+% profit off of Vera Bradley purses 🙂

Never even mind the broken leg, as long as it works I’d say its still a bargain.
Notwithstanding the time commitment, I think hitting yard sales is a great way to pick up bargain items and definitely have an awesome time with the family (well, there is the temptation to pick up lots of things so I guess knowing what one wants and sticking to that is necessary.)
