There is the learning to cut the hair part and doing it well enough that it looks like a professional job at work…that might be a great impendiment.
I do agree though thats its a fun way to save money and certainly bond with family if one has the guts and know-how to try it out.

This year we’ve vowed to step up the frugal in our house, so I’ve been cutting my own hair as well. It’s a bit on the tough side, but if I put enough curls in no one can notice the mistakes. 🙂

You gotta have something halfway decent to have a better chance of success. I’ve also used the $20 dog grooming clippers that are plug-in and they work fine.
